Waarom trou mense nog steeds? Dis verstommend dat trou steeds gewild is onder mense selfs al bly hulle jare saam. Wit trou rokke bly gewild. Sluiers ook. Troues is ‘n winsgewende besigheid en dit lyk nie of dit baie gou gaan verander nie.

Dit blyk uit studies dat vrouens meer geneig is om te wil trou as mans. Die rede: ‘n Behoefde om te behoort, aanvaarbaar te wees. Alhoewel die waarde van die wit rok met die jare afgewater het, is dit steeds simbolies. Vir die bruid is dit ‘n tipe status simbool. Sy is nou Mevrou en dit laat haar belangrik voel.
Mans alhoewel minder entoesiasties oor trou deel baie dieselfde sentimente. Hulle het nou ‘n wederhelfte. Mans oor die algemeen is nie lief vir alleen wees nie. Vir hulle is dit meer prakties van aard. Iemand wat vir hulle kan sorg – ‘n liefdevolle huis met kinders.
