Only you know what is best
Only you know what is best
Only you know what is best for you. So put faith in yourself. Trust yourself. You are the only person who knows you inside out. We all want to feel accepted and not rejected – it is a normal part of life. Sometime though we feel the need to do more to be accepted – which isn’t always in our best interest. We might be pressured by peers, family, friends or work colleagues.
“If you spend your time hoping someone will suffer the consequences for what they did to your heart, then you’re allowing them to hurt you a second time in your mind.” ― Shannon L. Alder
Only you know what is best for you
We have all been in the position where someone tell us what they think we should do in a certain situation. Maybe our confidence isn’t good or we want to please the person so we give in even though we don’t want to do it. We end up feeling unhappy and miserable. Not satisfied that it is the best for us but we keep quiet and pretend we are happy with the decision. We might even feel like a victim – invisible. A people-pleaser. Nobody else knows what you need. Only you know what is best for you. Just take the first step
“Strong people have a strong sense of self-worth and self-awareness; they don’t need the approval of others.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
Have faith in yourself
You are enough. Trust yourself to do the best for you. You might make mistakes. So what? Learn from your mistakes and do better next time. How can someone trust you if you don’t trust yourself?
“You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you yourself don’t know it, all of that doesn’t even matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth, every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away. It’s not like you have forever, so don’t waste any of your seconds, don’t throw even one of your moments away.” ― C. JoyBell C.
