Old time country music

Old time country music are still the fashion. Nothing beats the music of Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Don Williams to name just a few. I grew up in the 1970’s and 1980’s with country music and just loved the genre.

This quote from Reba sums up my feelings about old time country music. Modern country music is just a lot different – not necessary bad – just way different. The Highway men – Willie, Waylon, Johnny and Kris knew how to tell the stories and put a beat to it. Don Williams one of my all-time favourites sang pure old time country music with songs like You’re my friend, Amanda, Tulsa time and so much more. Dolly Parton is still going strong with sold out venues and so do Willie Nelson

Saturday evenings on the radio were country music time. The soothing sound of country music filled my room. It made me immensely happy. I still have the old vinyl records and the cd’s and I still have a Hi-fi system so I could play them. There are also country music stars like Blake Shelton, Billy Rae Cyrus and Carrie Underwood that I enjoy listening to. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill too.
