God where are you?

God where are you are often heard during times of conflict, personal tragedies and illness. The question is a plight to God more than a resentment. It is easy to believe when everything are going well in your life. It is much more difficult to believe and have faith when your life is falling apart

Although the darkest moments of our lives can seem like the worst, it is often in these times that we find our light. Martin Luther King

God where are you?

When war broke out in Ukraine, people flocked to the churches to pray believing that the conflict would soon be over. Then 4 months later there were still no end in sight. By then thousands have lost their lives or injured, houses and towns were destroyed. Even churches were destroyed and among the devastation a woman spoke to a journalist. Through floods of tears she told him about her faith and then she asked the question – where are God while His children are suffering.

The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.” ― J.M. Barrie, The Little White Bird

Do not give up

We as humans do not have the answers to why God allow suffering. Even though your life might be in shambles, there are always light on the other side of the tunnel. Never loose Hope. Don’t ever give up because if we give up the light might just be around the next corner.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

We might not understand why our prayers aren’t answered. We may ask questions, even be angry at times while also believing that our suffering will end and it will. Keep the faith and stay strong.
